Ideal in the "show season" & gives you even more choice,as to what or where to go over the weekends...IF "one make gatherings" are LIMITED!? :sad
:cool PHIL.
i agree. as much as i like rovers i do like many other makes too, anything from jap to euro. classics are not really my thing but anything from the 60's onwards i dont mind.
theres an annual show in cleethorps organised by a local modified car club which ive been to have a look round most years. lots of different clubs attend such as classic, american but it is mainly modified cars. its only a couple of quid to get into aswell.
:S Have you been to the American/Custom+Rod/classic Show at the Doncaster Air Museum? Thats very Good.
Also..My old "mixed"club The Traditional Car Club Of Doncaster http://www.traditionalcarclub.co.uk put on a Excellent Car Show at the Deaf School across from Doncaster Race Course,Not just for their "members" but open to all car owners,Yanks/Kit cars/Modern Clasics/One Make Clubs :thumbup
Everyone...gets on well together no matter what the make of car.TRUE Car Buffs :angel

:D Doncaster is south yorkshire, right on the doorstep to a lot of shows in and around the area including Lincolnshire.I've been to gatherings at Louth,East Coast,Harrogate,York racecourse,Thoresby Park,Newark Showground,Hull,Wakefield,Goole,Boston & many more! On the Traditional Car Club of Doncaster, one of their links gives you details of the "MORGANS DIARY" think its £4.00 a copy..Well,Worth the money covers SHOWS & GATHERINGS/MEETINGS throughout the season..Which will include Lincolnshire & surrounding areas, bet your nearer to other events, not so far from you than you think!?
Used to go to RAF WADDINGTON AIRSHOW used to get in FREE with classics/yanks/cars of interest/car clubs......Great Show!

perhaps lindsey could create a lincs area within the forum and jeff could let us in on a few dates.

:slapme Fair Comment about "Classic Car Shows",but it is a way of getting one make owners clubs known ie "NEO CLASSICS".
According to Jeff Turbo & Friend of Practical Classics...there is a Boston Classic Car Show! See his thread,Years ago when i lived at Cranwell & into Custom Cars..there used to be a show just outside Boston,Kirton way i think?

I can put a seperate section in, but it will need someone to be the area group co-ordinator for it and organise some meets. Let me know.

Yes it's a bit of everything from the 1920's to the 1990's.
If you look at the website pictures of previous shows it will give your more of an idea.
The 200/400 club will go down well there and you can have a stand.

Mid Lincs Rover Club day at East Kirkby airfield is on the 10th July.
Includes the Mid Lincs Rover Club annual rally/concourse, the MGCC Lincolnshire branch and other clubs.
All aviaition heritage centre facilities are open, including the Just Jane Lancaster bomber, who starts her engines etc.
I've been there before and it's a very good day out.
