Mind you I think I have it sorted now, fly to Glasgow and get a train across and then fly back from Aberdeen.

Its either a train or hire a doggy do box

If he does that trip that would be an option as I HATE trains and buses

Picked it up yesterday, and it's better than what I was expecting, although it's going to need a few quid spending on it, new wishbones, droplinks, or anti roll bar bushes as there is a clonk from the front, the brakes mentioned in the ad turned out to be abs light on, and it's probably overdue a service, but I hope to spend some time on it tomorrow to go through it and make a list of what needs fixing, but the clonk is top of the list.

Nice one Rob.

I'd not be too fussed about the knocking noise. I've never been in a cab thats not had one :D

It looks like a good service and a clean will have it sorted. They look great with a set of alloys as well.

Finally had a day to work on it what with the holiday and all, ABS is fixed, it would appear when they replaced the rear pads and discs they didn't fully push home the sensor wiring plug on the NS, a simple push to click it into place saw the ABS light go out so well chuffed about that.

I have just spent the morning replacing the drop links, wishbone bushes don't look too bad, so once I drop it off the stands when I've done a couple of more minor jobs I'll take it for a spin hoping the clonk has gone. Be a right result if it has.

May even drag the pressure washer out in a bit and give it a good going over and under the bonnet too, then I'll be on the lookout for some wheels and a few other minor bits like steering wheel to tidy it up a treat. :D

Nice that the ABS was so simple, I still look back with horror at the hours I spent with the W124 Merc trying to get that light to extinguish. You'll be happy out with the Mondeo, big comfy cars that feel alot pokier than the 90bhp would suggest.

Tell you what, it hasn't got the punch that the 45 had, I know it's a heavier car and slight down on BHP compared to it, but it's a noticable difference.

Have found a set of alloys for it, so at least it will look a bit more presentable in the not too distant future :)
